Danica Royster is a wealth consultant at First Genesis of Virginia, LLC. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 2012 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management. She is well trained in financial services and is focused on building her practice using a holistic approach when assisting clients in pursuing their financial goals and objectives. She specifically focuses her practice on retirement planning, wealth accumulation strategies, educational funding for college and asset protection planning through insurance. She also focuses on Clergy Compensation Strategies and Charitable Giving. Danica has a passion for enhancing financial literacy in the African American community and hopes to continue to partner with various organizations to empower her generation in Hampton Roads and beyond.
Danica was appointed to Norfolk City Council on January 13, 2021, and elected to City Council on November 2, 2021 to represent the citizens of Superward 7. She currently serves on the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission and co-chairs the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for the St. Paul’s Area and the Mayor’s Commission on Social Equity and Economic Opportunity. In 2019, Ms. Royster was recognized as a Millennial on the Move by Cova Biz for exemplifying success in her profession while also working with the community to advance the entire region. She was recently recognized as part of Old Dominion Alumni Association's Inaugural Top 40 Under 40 class.
